How do I find my security code:
The code may be obtained several ways . . .
- The 5 digit security code would have been on a card given to the original owner at time of purchase. Most customers keep the card with the owner's manual in the glove box.
- Often times the 5 digit security code is recorded on a sticker affixed to one of the walls of the glove compartment or written-in on page 1 of the maintenance manual.
How do I find my radio serial number?
The code may be obtained several ways . . .
- Often times radio serial numbers are recorded on a sticker affixed to one of the glove compartment walls or written-in on page 1 of the maintenance manual.
- On vehicles 2003 and newer:
- With the radio turned off, turn the ignition to the "Run" position. (Note: DO NOT start the vehicle)
- Press and hold radio buttons 1 and 6.
- Continue to hold buttons 1 and 6 while turning the radio on.
- Two sets of numbers will appear on the radio screen: U _ _ _ _ L _ _ _ _. The 8 numbers are your radio serial number.
- On vehicles 2002 and older:
- Radio removal is required to obtain radio serial number.
- Radio removal is required to obtain radio serial number.
